Posterous gives me warm feelings
When looking for a web service, if I can't get an Open Network Service then at least I want one that will give me back what data I put in.
That's what's particularly delightful about finding Posterous' API — I know I can write code to take everything I put into it and get it out again. And the RSS feed generated for my Posterous site is rich with metadata. So, happy me.
Posterous is currently free. For the record, as I can't get my hands on its source code, I think I'd be a bit more comfortable paying for the service than using it for free. I've certainly paid for services that are way less useful and well executed.
