New temptations
It might finally be the time to abandon my own hand-crafted blog software and use something somebody else made. Trying out Posterous for that write-once, publish everywhere feel.
If you're arriving at this from Twitter or Facebook, sorry for wasting your time reading my "Hello, World!" post.
Posterous is mostly email-oriented, and to be honest, that's alright by me. I write 99% of my words from email anyway, and have never really settled to writing in a browser.
My old blog, Behind the Times, will carry on for now, but the era in which that was written has now mostly passed, so it feels like the right time for something new. I want somewhere that I can write more than Twitter, but with a more casual approach than full blog posts.
We'll see how this goes. Any and all comments are appreciated. It should be a fun week, ending with my traveling to San Jose for OSCON.
